For I acknowledge no book as truly mine, except perhaps the one on The Bondage of the Will, and the Catechism.— Martin Luther, letter to Wolfgang Capito, 1537
And I must still read and study daily, and yet I cannot master it as I wish, but must remain a child and pupil of the Catechism, and am glad so to remain.— Martin Luther, Large Catechism, 1529
The Small Catechism, to print and fold at home
A 28-page booklet in black and white, with woodcuts from the Reformation. Print it double-sided, fold it in half and staple it: a Catechism to keep at home and read with your family.
How to print it
The file is already arranged as a book: the pages are laid out two to a side, ready to fold.
- Choose your paper size: Letter or A4. Each one has its own file.
- Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge of the sheet.
- Actual size: 100 %. Do not check “fit to page” or “shrink”.
- Stack the sheets in the order they come out, fold them in half and staple at the fold.
Careful: if the print dialog offers a “Booklet” option, leave it off, because the file is already arranged and it would be shuffled twice. To print single pages or to read on your phone, use the “screen reading” version.

The app to learn it by playing is free and has no ads.
Free for everyone, supported by some
The weekly material is free, and it will stay that way. If it helps your preaching or your congregation, you can make a donation so it keeps growing.
The US$150 donation from Nathan M. completed the first campaign of the crusade. Thank you!
US$500 to keep the app alive and growing
- Keep the app, the website and the app stores running for two years.
- Keep developing: new lessons, courses and improvements.
- Upgrade the workstation: a computer with more memory (RAM), so creating never slows to a crawl.
Will you help us get there?
Thank you: every gift, large or small, counts.
